The implementation of the project OVERCOMING BARRIERS – IMPROVING THE MOBILITY OF RESIDENTS OF THE BORDER REGION OF TRANSCARPATHIA (UKRAINE), MARAMURES (ROMANIA) AND SZABOLCS – SZATMAR – BEREG (HUNGARY) – HUSKROUA 1702/7.1/0076 has started
On 29.08.2019, the Lead Applicant from Ukraine has signed in Budapest, the financing contract for the project Overcoming Barriers – Improving The Mobility Of Residents Of The Border Region Of Transcarpathia (Ukraine), Maramures (Romania) And Szabolcs – Szatmar – Bereg (Hungary). It will run for a period of 24 months.
The project was submitted for funding through the Hungary – Slovakia – Ukraine HUSKROUA ENI CBC 2014-2020 Cross border program, call 2, thematic objective 7 “Improving the accessibility of regions, developing sustainable and low impact communication and transport networks and systems”, priority 1 “Development of transport infrastructure to improve the mobility of goods”.
The general objective of the project is to improve the access to regions by developing sustainable and environmentally friendly transport networks that will contribute to the improvement of the transport infrastructure in the border regions of Transcarpathia (Ukraine), Maramures County (Romania) and Szabolcs – Szatmar – Bereg (Hungary).
Activities of the Romanian partner:
Maramures County will carry out the following activities:
- Procurement of the services for the elaboration of the technical documentation for the modernization of the public waiting stations related to public passenger transport.
- Implementation of a pilot project of 4 modern public stations for testing and highlighting the latest technologies available for fleet monitoring and passenger informing.
- Procurement of a computer system for the management of the county public transport
Total value of the project is 1.480.344,27 Euro, UE contribution is 807.000,00 Ron, Maramures County budget 350.879 Euro.
Project implementation period: 24 months.
